Memorial Day Event | The Murph

To Celebrate Those Who Serve Our Country



The Murph Memorial Day Event is a one day event that will bring up to 120 participants together from around the area to engage in a time of community, competition, fitness, and fun. Any money raised will be donated to The Danny Dietz Foundation.

Competition Details

Team Event
Teams of 2-3 participants

First, the teams will complete a one mile run together.

Next, the team will complete 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups and 300 squats (split amongst the each participant).

Last, the team will complete another one mile run.

*scaling options such as TRX rows, pushups from knees, inclined pushups, etc.  are available.

    Date and Time

    • May  31st, 2021
    • 9am - 10am | Vendor Setup
    • 10am  - 1pm | Event Workout (Starts every :30)
    • 1pm - 2pm | Social Cool Down - 3rd Floor Parking Garage 
     10:00am | Team Event Starts
    • 20 participants will start on the 30 min mark
    • Teams will consist of 2-3 individuals
    • Winner will be the team that averages the lowest time to completion of event
    • Rep counts on honor system
    10:30 | Individual Competition Starts
    • 20 participants will start on the 30 minute mark by registration time
    • Winner will be the individual that averages the lowest time to completion of event
    • Rep counts on honor system




    Event will give prizes for the following winners:

            Fastest Individual Overall

            Fastest Female Finisher Overall

            Fastest Team Overall

            Fastest Coed Team  

     Spectators and Visitor Logistics

    • We will allow up to 120 participants over the 3 hour time duration.
    • Spectators will be routed through the west parking only to allow for vendor setup in the front walkway of the building.
    • Spectators will be allowed on the concrete surrounding this edge of the turf field as well as on segmented off-areas of the turf.
    • No viewing will be allowed on the inside of the building.
    • In case of inclement weather, the event will still be conducted and vendors will be re-located in the covered parking lot section that will be coned off.  
    • We will have staff in the parking lot and the front entrance to direct foot traffic and get spectators where they need to be to see their team compete.


    • We have measured out enough space for all athletes and coaches to have enough space to be 6 feet apart at all times
    • To ensure that all participants stay socially distanced, we will have marked off cone areas on the turf with where the participants can utilize throughout the event.
    • Due to the event being outside masks will not be required, but social distancing will be.
    • Cones set up in the spectator areas will offer socially distanced guidance for spectators. 
    • Check in station for temperature checks upon entry.
