Elite Velocity Pro Series Pitching Program

The Elite Velocity Pro Series Program is not only an arm velocity segment of our year round pitcher development, but an overall strength training and shoulder health program.  Gaining arm speed is about gaining strength, correcting mechanics appropriate for your body type, and doing it in a safe and TIMING sensitive manner. Keeping our session at a 2:8 coach to athlete ratio helps ensure proper technique is used throughout sessions.

Elite-Velocity-Pro-Series

Introducing new throwers into a weighted ball and arm strengthening program needs to be extremely sensitive to the individual.  Ordering a set of weighted balls and jumping right into plyometrics can be extremely unsafe and counter productive.  All athletes must go through a neurological adaptation phase and demonstrate proper plyometric throwing mechanics before any weighted activities should begin.  Jumping into large groups doesn’t leverage the professional micromanagement of movement weighted ball training deserves. Adaptation Phases can take up to 3 weeks before progressions may actually occur.   

Off-Season Phase: Incorporates intricate progressive overloading which involves weight training, weighted balls, proper activations, arm care and medball plyometrics.  The younger throwers will not jump right into heavy plyoball and baseball training until they have neurologically gotten to a point where they are deemed to physically handle the load of the next steps.

Weighted-Ball-Training

Section 1:

This weekly routine will repeat until the Thanksgiving Holiday de-loading period.

Register for either Team 1 or Team 2 depending on the following desired days and times.

Team 1:  Nov 4, 11, 14 – Mondays – 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Team 2:  Nov 5, 12, 25 – Tuesdays – 5:00pm – 6:00pm

*Testing is done at the end of week 1 and week 3

Upper Body Strength / Power + Long Toss (Distance / Weighted Ball Ability Dependent On Adaptation Levels)

Team 1:  Nov 7, 14, 21 – Thursdays – 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Team 2:  Nov 8, 15, 22 – Fridays – 5:00pm – 6:00pm

Lower Body Strength / Power + Pitching Mechanic Optimization and Bullpen work.

Section 2:

This weekly routine will repeat starting after the Thanksgiving Holiday de-loading period. and extend until the week of Christmas

Team 1:  December 2, 9, 16 – Mondays – 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Team 2:  December 3, 10, 17 – Tuesdays – 5:00pm – 6:00pm

*Testing is done at the end of week 1 and again Week 3

Upper Body Max Effort / Power + Weighted Throwing Plyometrics Weighted Ball Ability Dependent On Adaptation and Strength Levels)

Team 1:  December 5, 12, 19 – Thursdays – 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Team 2: December 6, 13, 20 – Fridays – 5:00pm – 6:00pm
